A Museum Wedding!

This wedding was so creative and beautifully done, not to mention the photographer did a stunning job in capturing all their special moments. I’m in love with the chalk art!

When it came to her bouquet she went with an organic and free form arrangement filled with spray roses, dahlias, tuberose blooms and touches of grey/green succulents. Voila!

Location: The New Children’s Museum at Balboa Park

Photographer: Lauren Scotti (You NEED to have a look at her work, so talented!)

Erin + Marc say ‘I Do’!

This wedding had our creativity flowing and captured our hearts from the onset! Erin and Marc were married Saturday at the gorgeous Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego.

The flowers were an amazing mix of distinctive blooms and fresh earthy succulents with lush foliage. Erin’s bouquet was one of the most stunning of our San Diego wedding bouquets consisting of calla lilies, fragrant garden roses, and delicate dendrobium laced with orchids.  The ceremony arbor at the Rancho Bernardo Inn wedding was draped with alabaster dahlia, dendrobium orchids, trailing grapevine and hanging amaranthus for a stunning tranquil backdrop.

Congrats to Erin and Marc and their beautiful families!

What To Look For In Your Wedding Dream Team

As well as helping you pick out the most beautiful wedding flowers in San Diego, here are a few tips on how to make your wedding a beautiful reality.

Picking the right collaborators for your wedding is critical. Think of yourself, your floral designer, wedding coordinator, venue coordinator, and even your photographer as a team. They can help you take your vision and transform it into a surreal and beautiful reality. You should collaborate with them on absolutely every aspect of the event from the décor and lighting, to the cake design!

Choose people who will work to help and support each other. Great wedding vendors should first be an advocate for you, the bride and groom, but just as important they should be able to collaborate and look out for the best interests of all vendors involved in your wedding day. The best vendors you can hire for your wedding day are ones that will make an effort to understand everyone’s role in the wedding day. Ask a few key questions when you interview your vendors to learn a little bit about them as individuals as well as their business philosophy. Perhaps come right out and ask them how they plan to contribute to the team.

You want team members that are progressive in their trade as well as confident in their own skills and abilities. However, they must also be flexible to offer insights and work together with other’s and their ideas to successfully execute your vision. A wedding planner/coordinator can help manage your team, but selecting the right vendors with the right skill set and attitude is the key to a successful wedding!

Trending “Glamping” Style for the most Progressive Bride

As featured in Flowers& Magazine, there is a wedding style trending with a unique name called “glamping” (glamour + camping = glamping). The concept is pairing two very unlikely things that are not often thought of together. This intriguing and inventive trend goes beyond burlap and lace. Think total contrast where Tiffany Shores pairs seaside colors and nautical accents with the uptown cachet of sleek luxurious blooms and accessories. Or, the Ballroom meets the Great Outdoors where romantic mono-botanicals of lush hydrangea and piano garden roses are contrasted with berries, grasses, galvanized cans and garden mulch for an ultra-elegant look with a tremendous alfresco feel. The sky is the limit with “glamping”, but be careful to not mix more than two high contrast styles together, and keep them in balance with advice from your professional florist.  Order your arrangement from us today and we will deliver flowers anywhere in San Diego.
