Flowers on an ordinary Tuesday land harder than flowers on a birthday, because nobody was expecting them. No occasion, no reason, nothing to mark. Everything on this page is designed by hand in our Rancho Peñasquitos shop and out on our own vans the same day where we can.

Since 1974, our family owned, full-service flower shop has been helping San Diego get its sentiments across through flowers and plants, from the day to day occasions to the once in a lifetime ones. Four Seasons Flowers was started in September 1974 in Poway by Barbara Bertran, my mother, in a warehouse our family owned. Today we serve the greater San Diego area from our Rancho Peñasquitos shop in the Vons center.
The no reason orders are our favourite ones to make, and we have been making them for San Diego since 1974.
Someone had a hard week. Someone helped you and you never properly said thank you. A friend moved house, started a job, finished treatment, or has simply been quiet lately. A parent you have not called. Honestly, the weaker the reason, the better it tends to land, because the point is that you thought of them when nothing made you.
Keep it short and specific. “Saw these and thought of you” is better than a paragraph. Name the thing if there is one: “thank you for last Saturday”, “thinking about you this week”. One honest line signed with your name does more than anything carefully composed.
Yes. We can arrange recurring deliveries so someone gets a fresh seasonal design every month, or on a schedule you pick, rather than the same bouquet on repeat. Plenty of people use it for a parent who lives alone. Call the shop and we will set it up on your account.
Usually yes, on orders placed early enough in the day for our designers and drivers to get to them. If you are ordering later and it needs to land today, call 858.484.7700 rather than assuming it is too late.
You can, and we will leave your name off the card if you ask. Worth thinking about though: an unsigned bouquet often causes more puzzlement than pleasure, and the recipient usually rings us to ask. If you want to stay unnamed but not mysterious, something like “from someone who is glad you are around” does the job.
