Since 1974, our family owned, full-service flower shop has been helping San Diego get its sentiments across through flowers and plants, from the day to day occasions to the once in a lifetime ones. Four Seasons Flowers was started in September 1974 in Poway by Barbara Bertran, my mother, in a warehouse our family owned. Today we serve the greater San Diego area from our Rancho Peñasquitos shop in the Vons center.
Birthdays are the everyday work we care most about getting right. Most of them are ordered by someone who is a little late and a lot fond of the person, and that is a good day at the shop.
Usually yes, on orders placed early enough in the day for our designers and drivers to get to them. Birthdays are the thing people most often remember at 3pm, so if you are ordering in the afternoon, call 858.484.7700 before you assume it is too late. We can often still make it happen, and if we truly cannot we will say so and get it there first thing the next morning.
There is, and it is a lovely detail to build a bouquet around. January is the carnation, February the violet and iris, March the daffodil, April the daisy and sweet pea, May lily of the valley, June the rose, July the larkspur, August the gladiolus, September the aster, October the marigold, November the chrysanthemum, and December the narcissus. Tell us the month and we will work it in.
Offices and schools we do every day, and a bouquet arriving at work is usually the better surprise. For a restaurant, call us first at 858.484.7700 so we can confirm timing with the venue and make sure someone is there to take it in. Please add the recipient’s mobile number at checkout on any business or venue delivery.
Then let our designers pick. Give us a colour they wear, a flower they have mentioned, or simply your budget, and we will build something seasonal around it. Designer’s choice is often the best value on the page, because we can use whatever came in freshest that morning.
Yes, and it is worth it for a birthday. We carry balloons, chocolates from local makers, plush and gift collections that we can send alongside the flowers as one delivery.
