Four Seasons Flowers has been pinning corsages for San Diego proms and handing over graduation leis since 1974. We are family owned and operated, and after fifty years in one city we have worked with most of these campuses already.
We work with high schools, private academies, colleges and universities across San Diego and North County: prom and homecoming corsages, graduation leis and bouquets, opening night flowers for the theater department, arrangements for Teacher Appreciation Week, banquet centerpieces, and corsage and boutonniere orders for fraternity and sorority formals. Most high schools do not accept flower deliveries on campus, so those orders are picked up at our shop or sent to a home. College and university orders we deliver to the campus or the venue.
We are a real flower shop on Black Mountain Road in Rancho Peñasquitos, not an order gatherer. Everything is designed in our shop, which is why we can match a dress swatch, build fifty matching boutonnieres for one chapter, or put a school color into a senior night bouquet.

Prom, Graduation and Campus Flowers Across San Diego
School flowers run on a calendar that does not move. Homecoming is a Saturday in the fall, winter formal lands in January or February, prom is a spring Saturday night, and graduation is a single afternoon in May or June. Miss the date and there is no second chance, which is why we take orders early and build to a pickup or delivery time rather than a vague day.
We serve the whole run of school occasions, from a single wrist corsage a sophomore picks up on the way to a dance, to a sorority chapter ordering seventy matching pieces for a spring gala, to a PTA ordering arrangements for every desk in the staff room. Below is what we do, the schools we work with, and how far ahead to order.
How school and campus delivery works
Step 1Tell us the school or campus, the event, the date, and how many pieces you need. For corsages and boutonnieres, tell us the dress color.
Step 2Choose from the collection or let our designers build something custom in school colors or chapter colors.
Step 3Pick up at the shop the day of, or we deliver to a home, a venue or a college campus. Corsages travel in a box and stay fresh in a refrigerator until you leave.
What We Do for High Schools
Prom, Homecoming and Winter Formal
Wrist corsages, pin-on corsages, hair flowers and matching boutonnieres, built to the dress. Bring or text a photo of the dress and we will match the color rather than guess at it. We also do dried and preserved corsages that last past the night.
Fresh orchid leis, maile leis, money leis, hand-tied bouquets and wrapped roses for the ceremony, plus corsages for grandmothers. Graduation is our single busiest day of the spring, so leis are best reserved a week or more ahead.
Opening night and closing night presentation bouquets for the leads, single stems for the full cast, and something for the director and the pit. We hold the order at the shop so you can pick it up before curtain, or send it to a home the same day.
Small arrangements for every teacher, one larger piece for the front office, or blooming planters that keep going through June. PTA and room parent orders are welcome, and we can split a bulk order into individual pieces ready to hand out. Schools differ on what they will accept on campus, so call and we will work out the drop.
Also on the high school calendar: senior night for every sport, band and drama banquets, National Honor Society induction, ASB installation, retirement and farewell gifts for staff, and boutonnieres for the fall homecoming court. Ask for any of it.
What We Do for Colleges and Universities
Banquets and Awards Ceremonies
Centerpieces for every table, a larger piece for the head table, and podium flowers for honor society inductions, department banquets, athletic end of season dinners, nursing pinning ceremonies and ROTC commissioning. Tell us the table count and the room and we will price it per table.
Corsage and boutonniere pairs in matching colors, ordered as one chapter order rather than fifty separate ones. Give us one contact, one date and a list of colors, and we will box and label every pair by name so nothing gets sorted out in a hallway.
Single stems and small hand-tied bouquets in chapter colors or the chapter flower for bid day, big and little reveals, and initiation. High volume on one date, so give us the count and the day and we will have it staged and ready.
Leis, presentation bouquets and wrapped roses for commencement and doctoral hooding, plus school color bouquets for athletic senior day. Multi college campuses run several ceremonies in one weekend, so book the date, not just the weekend.
Miramar College is on our street. Palomar, CSU San Marcos, MiraCosta, UC San Diego, USD, Point Loma Nazarene and SDSU are all inside our normal delivery run, and we have taken flowers onto every one of those campuses.

Timing, Colors and What to Know
Order prom and formal flowers about two weeks out. A week is usually fine. The Saturday of a big prom weekend is not, because every school in the district is dancing on the same night and the flowers are already spoken for.
Bring the dress color, not the dress name. A photo on your phone in daylight is the most useful thing you can hand us. Sage, dusty blue and champagne all mean six different things online.
Wrist or pin-on. Wrist corsages are the safe default and work with any neckline. Pin-on corsages need a strap or a lapel to pin into, so check the dress first. We can also do hair flowers, clips and combs instead.
Graduation leis need lead time. Fresh orchid and maile leis are ordered in from the islands, so reserve them at least a week ahead. Once graduation weekend arrives, what is in the cooler is what is left.
Chapter and group orders get one contact. Give us a single person, a single date and a color list, and we box and label every pair by name. It is faster for us and far less chaotic for you than fifty individual orders.
High school orders are pickup. Most high schools do not accept flower deliveries on campus, so plan on collecting at the shop or having it sent to a home. Corsages and leis are better picked up anyway, because they go straight from our cooler into yours.
Same day is possible. Order by 1:00 PM Monday through Friday. Corsages, boutonnieres and leis are hand assembled, so a day of notice lets us do considerably more with them.
Keep it cold, not wet. A boxed corsage lives happily in a refrigerator until you leave. Do not put it in the freezer and do not leave it in a parked car in May.

How far ahead should I order prom flowers in San Diego?
About two weeks is comfortable, and a week is usually workable. Prom nights cluster on the same handful of spring Saturdays across Poway Unified, San Dieguito, San Diego Unified and the private schools, so the closer you get to that Saturday the less choice there is. Order by 1:00 PM Monday through Friday if you need something same day.
Do you deliver flowers to a high school?
Most high schools do not accept flower deliveries on campus, so we do not plan on it. Prom, homecoming and graduation orders are picked up at our shop, usually the afternoon of the event, or sent to a home instead. Colleges and universities are different, and we deliver to those campuses and to ceremony and banquet venues regularly.
Can you match a corsage to a dress color?
Yes, and it is the most common thing we are asked to do. Text or bring a photo of the dress taken in daylight. We keep a wide ribbon and flower range for the usual formal palettes, and if a color is not achievable in a fresh flower we will tell you before you order rather than after.
Do you deliver graduation leis?
Yes. We carry fresh orchid leis, maile leis, combination leis and money leis, and we also make hand-tied bouquets and wrapped roses for the ceremony. Fresh leis are ordered in ahead, so reserve at least a week before graduation. Pickup at the shop on the morning of the ceremony is the most reliable option on a busy graduation day.
Can you handle a bulk corsage and boutonniere order for a fraternity or sorority formal?
Yes. Give us one contact person, the date, the count and a color list. We build the pairs, box them and label every box by name so they can be handed out without sorting. We do the same for chapter bid day stems and for date party orders. Call us to set it up rather than placing individual orders online.
Can you do flowers for Teacher Appreciation Week?
We do a lot of Teacher Appreciation work. Schools differ on what they will accept on campus and many high schools do not take flower deliveries at all, so call us and we will work out the best way to get them there. Orders can be split into individual pieces ready to hand out, and pickup at the shop is always available.
Can you deliver to a college campus for commencement or a banquet?
Yes. For commencement, give us the venue and the ceremony time rather than the main campus address, since large campuses run several ceremonies in the same weekend at different locations. For banquets, give us the table count and the room and we will price the centerpieces per table and set them before guests arrive.
What if my school is not on the list?
Call us. The list covers the schools we work with regularly, not the limit of where we go. Our delivery area runs from the North County coast south to downtown, east to Ramona and Tierra Santa, and west to the beach communities. Call 858.484.7700 and we will confirm.
