Honoring Life and Love: Our First Ofrenda at Four Seasons Flowers
This year, we’re proud to share something truly special with our community, the creation of our very first Ofrenda here at Four Seasons Flowers.
As we approach Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), we’re taking time to celebrate one of the most meaningful traditions in Mexican culture. A time when families come together to honor and remember the loved ones who have passed, keeping their spirits alive through stories, food, music, and of course, flowers.
What Is an Ofrenda?
An Ofrenda (Spanish for “offering”) is a beautiful altar built to welcome the spirits of loved ones back for a brief visit during Día de los Muertos. It’s filled with photos, favorite foods, candles, and vibrant marigolds, known as cempasúchil, the “flower of the dead.” The bright orange petals are believed to guide spirits home with their color and scent, symbolizing the beauty of life and the power of remembrance.
Our Community Invitation
For the first time, we’ve created a space right inside our shop dedicated to this beautiful tradition and we’d love for you to be part of it.
We invite all of our customers and community members to bring a 4×6 photo of a loved one you’d like to honor and include it on our Ofrenda. Together, we’ll fill the space with love, light, and remembrance, a shared tribute to those who have shaped our lives and hearts.
Whether you celebrate Día de los Muertos every year or are discovering it for the first time, we welcome you to join us in this meaningful act of connection.
Why It Matters to Us
