Funeral Flower Delivery in San Diego

Four Seasons Flowers has been designing funeral and sympathy flowers for San Diego families since 1974, family owned and operated for over fifty years.

We deliver standing sprays, wreaths, crosses, casket sprays and sympathy arrangements to funeral homes, chapels and cemeteries across San Diego and North County, on time for the service.

Not an order gatherer. Every piece is built in our shop on Black Mountain Road and driven to the service by us.

Funeral and Sympathy Flower Delivery Across San Diego

Funeral flowers are the one delivery that cannot be late. Services start on time, viewings end on time, and a tribute that arrives after the family has left the chapel has failed no matter how beautiful it is. That is the part we take seriously. We call the funeral home, confirm when the room opens, and build our route around the service rather than the other way around.

We deliver seven days a week to the funeral homes, mortuaries, chapels and cemeteries listed below, from Oceanside and Escondido down through Poway, Rancho Bernardo and Rancho Peñasquitos to central San Diego. The ones closest to our shop, and the ones we are in most often, are Alhiser-Comer Mortuary and McLeod Mortuary in Escondido, Poway-Bernardo Mortuary and Dearborn Memorial Park in Poway, El Camino Memorial in Sorrento Valley and Encinitas, and Miramar National Cemetery. Fifty years in one city means we have already been in most of these rooms and know what fits in them.

How funeral delivery works

Step 1Tell us the name of the person being honored, the funeral home, and the date and time of the service.
Step 2Choose a tribute, or let our designers build something around the family and the flowers they loved.
Step 3We deliver and set the piece in place well before the service begins, then confirm with you once it is there.

What to Send to a Funeral or Memorial Service

Standing Sprays, Wreaths and Crosses

Displayed on an easel beside the casket or urn. This is what most people send when they are not immediate family, from a workplace, a congregation or a group of friends.

Casket Sprays

The piece that rests on the casket itself. Traditionally the immediate family chooses it, so if you are not next of kin a standing piece is the better call. We build these to order.

Flowers to the Family’s Home

Often the kinder choice, and it does not have to be the day of the service. The week after, when the visitors stop coming, is when it lands hardest.

Sending an arrangement to the service

A vase or basket arrangement sent to the funeral home is easier to move than an easel piece, and the family can take it home afterward. See sympathy arrangements, or send a green plant that keeps going long after the service.

Timing, Etiquette and What to Know

Funeral Flower Delivery FAQs

How soon before the service should funeral flowers be delivered?
We aim to have tributes in place at least two hours before a viewing or service begins, and we confirm the timing with the funeral home directly. Tell us the service time when you order and we will handle the rest.
What information do I need to send funeral flowers?
The full name of the person being honored, the name of the funeral home or cemetery, and the date and time of the service. Funeral homes organize deliveries by the name of the deceased.
Who is supposed to send the casket spray?
The casket spray is traditionally chosen by the immediate family. Friends, coworkers and extended family typically send a standing spray, a wreath or cross on an easel, or a sympathy arrangement.
Can you deliver to Fort Rosecrans or Miramar National Cemetery?
Yes. Both allow fresh cut flowers year round, but prohibit glass containers, balloons, shepherd’s hooks and anything taller than 24 inches. Artificial flowers are allowed only from November through February. We design within those rules so nothing gets removed.
Can you deliver funeral flowers the same day?
Often, yes. Order by 1:00 PM Monday through Friday and call us so we can check the service time. For funeral work, a day of notice lets us build something considerably better.
What should I send if I cannot attend the service?
Flowers to the family’s home are the most personal choice, and they do not have to arrive on the day of the service. The week afterward, when the house gets quiet, is often when they mean the most.

We are here to help you get this right.
