The passing of a loved one is a difficult time for anyone. Let family and friends know that you are thinking of them; send sympathy flowers that are carefully crafted by our professional florists in San Diego.
These are the arrangements meant for a family’s home rather than the service. Something that arrives on a kitchen counter in the quiet week afterwards, when the visitors have gone and the days are long. Every one is designed by hand in our Rancho Peñasquitos shop.
If you are not sure what to send, that is normal, and you can call us. Soft whites and greens are always right. If you would rather send something that lasts, our memorial gardens and orchids keep going for months. For flowers going to a service or a funeral home instead, see our sympathy arrangements.

Best of Weddings several years running, and inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2023.
Straight from local growers, which cuts days off the trip from field to vase.
Order early in the day and we can usually get flowers there the same afternoon.
Since 1974, our family owned, full-service flower shop has been helping San Diego get its sentiments across through flowers and plants, from the day to day occasions to the once in a lifetime ones. Four Seasons Flowers was started in September 1974 in Poway by Barbara Bertran, my mother, in a warehouse our family owned. Today we serve the greater San Diego area from our Rancho Peñasquitos shop in the Vons center.
Sympathy work asks for a steady hand and no fuss, and after fifty years we know how to do it quietly and on time.
Both are right, they just do different things. Flowers at the service are part of the day itself and usually need to arrive before it starts, so timing matters and the funeral home should know they are coming. Flowers to the home arrive for the family, and they are often more welcome in the week after everything, when the house has gone quiet. If you can only do one and you have missed the service, send to the home.
Short and plain is better than eloquent. Name the person who died, say one true thing, and sign your full name so the family knows who you are. “Thinking of you and your family. We are so sorry about Margaret. With love, the Hendersons.” You do not need to fix anything or explain anything. If you are stuck, call us and we will help you word it.
No. The flowers arrive in a flood in the first week and then stop completely, which is often the hardest part. Something arriving three or four weeks later, or on an anniversary, tends to mean more than anything sent on the day.
A planted garden, a peace lily or an orchid will still be in the house months from now, and a lot of families find that easier than watching a bouquet fade. Our memorial gardens and green plants are all designed for exactly this.
Usually yes, on orders placed early enough in the day. If there is a specific window that would be better for the family, call 858.484.7700 and tell us, and we will work with our driver on it rather than just turning up.
For the next special occasion, or just because, our floral designers can create something to fit your sentiment.
