We deliver to hospitals, medical centers, rehabilitation hospitals, cancer centers, birth centers and hospice homes across San Diego and North County, most often the same day you order.

Same Day Delivery to San Diego and North County Hospitals
When someone you love is admitted, flowers are one of the few things you can send that immediately make a hospital room feel human again. We deliver seven days a week to the major San Diego hospital systems, including Scripps, Sharp HealthCare, UC San Diego Health, Palomar UC San Diego Health, Kaiser Permanente and Rady Children’s, as well as the VA and Naval medical centers.
Because we design every arrangement in our own shop, we can match the situation. A long ICU stay calls for something different than a new baby in the maternity ward, and a low fragrance plant is often the smartest choice for an oncology or transplant floor. Tell us who it is for and we will build something that works.
How hospital delivery works

Step 2Give us the patient’s full name, the hospital, and the room or unit number if you have it.
Step 3Our driver hand delivers to the hospital and follows their protocol, usually the front desk or volunteer services.
Hospitals and Medical Facilities We Deliver To

Our delivery area reaches from the North County coast south to downtown, east to Ramona and Tierra Santa, and west to the beach communities.
A compact, bright arrangement in a vase arrives ready to set on a bedside table, with no hunting for a vase or water. Keep it small, because hospital rooms have very little surface space.
For a longer stay, or a patient moving on to rehab, a plant outlasts cut flowers and goes home with them. Plants are also the safest option when fragrance is a concern.
Delivering to Sharp Mary Birch, Palomar Escondido or another maternity unit? Soft pinks, blues and whites travel well and photograph beautifully in the room.
Skip heavily scented flowers such as stargazer lilies for oncology, transplant and respiratory patients. Latex balloons are prohibited at most San Diego hospitals, including Rady Children’s, so ask us for a Mylar balloon instead. Fresh flowers and live plants are generally not permitted in ICU, CCU, NICU, burn units, or on many behavioral health units. When in doubt, call the nurses’ station or call us and we will help.
Hospital Delivery Policies You Should Know
Patient name and room number. Hospitals cannot always confirm a patient’s location to a driver. The more detail you give us, meaning full legal name, unit and room number, the faster the delivery lands.
Front desk drop offs. Most San Diego hospitals route florist deliveries through the main lobby, volunteer services or a central receiving desk. Hospital staff carry the arrangement to the room, so the exact hand off time is up to them.
Discharged patients. If a patient is discharged before our driver arrives, we will contact you to redeliver to their home address (a redelivery fee may apply) or hold the arrangement at our shop.
Restricted units. If the unit does not accept flowers, we will call you before we leave the shop rather than making a wasted trip. Usually we will suggest sending to the family’s home or waiting until discharge.
Same day cutoff. Order by 1:00 PM Monday through Friday for same day delivery. Later than that, call the shop, because we can often still make it happen.

Can you deliver flowers to a hospital today in San Diego?
Yes. Orders placed by 1:00 PM Monday through Friday are delivered the same day to hospitals throughout San Diego and North County. If you are ordering after the cutoff, call us at 858.484.7700 and we will tell you honestly whether we can still get it there.
What information do I need to send flowers to a hospital patient?
The patient’s full name, the hospital name, and ideally the room or unit number. If you do not have the room number we can still deliver, though hospital staff will need to locate the patient, which may add time.
Are flowers allowed in the ICU?
Usually not. Most intensive care, cardiac care, NICU, burn and transplant units in San Diego hospitals do not allow fresh flowers or live plants because of infection control and allergy concerns. A good alternative is to send to the family’s home, or to have the arrangement delivered once the patient moves to a regular floor.
What if the patient is discharged before the flowers arrive?
We will call you. You can have us redeliver to their home address, or hold the arrangement at our shop for pickup.
Can you deliver balloons to a hospital?
Mylar balloons, yes. Latex balloons are banned at nearly every San Diego hospital because of latex allergies, so we substitute Mylar on hospital orders.
Do you deliver to Rady Children’s Hospital?
Yes, we deliver to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego on Children’s Way, along with Scripps, Sharp, UC San Diego Health, Kaiser Permanente, Palomar and the VA and Naval medical centers.
